Just wanted to put up a note about the 1994 MLB schedule. The format of which teams were played 13 times and which were played 12 times in each league was EXACTLY the same as it had been in 1993.
So, in other words, it was as if MLB had not realigned into three divisions in 1994 and was still using the two division alignment of 1993.
In 1995-96, the format was changed slightly so that a team always played its division rivals 13 times each, and then played either 2 teams (if it was in a 5-team division) or 3 teams (if it was in a 4-team division) outside of its division 13 times each. As far as I can tell, which teams were selected to be played 13 times was randomly determined.
