This is the problem. It is a double standard to basically say "Malleus can be just as rude as he wants because that's just the way he is, but EVERYBODY ELSE has to watch how they behave and make sure they're polite when they post".
I'm a computer consultant. I used to work with a guy who was very smart and knew a TON more about the technology than I ever will, but he was one of the most abrasive people I'd ever met. When he was sent to a client site he was not listened to because the message got lost in his approach - basically yelling and calling everyone else morons (sound familiar?).
I personally don't like being called a moron. It has already made me leave this board once. I know - no big loss, right? Well, I'm just one of many who has a problem with what's going on here.
BTW, if you look at all the big flame wars of the past few months there has been one common denominator. I think that speaks for itself.
