The regular season has come to an end as 8 of our deities advance to the post-season with 18 staying home. In the Continental League, New York (Awonawilona) easily wraps up the CL Northeast, Charlotte (Abraham) wins the CL East and Oklahoma City (Apsu) earns the CL Southeast crown. The wildcard spot came down to a one-game, winner take all match-up between Phoenix and Hartford, who finished tied for the CL Wildcard spot with identical records of 84-78. The one-game series was held in Phoenix, but Bondje and his Hartford teammates pulled out the victory in enemy territory 4-1.

In the United League, Pittsburgh (Ometeotl) wins the UL Northwest, Seattle (Khonvoum) wins the UL West and Guru Nahak leads New Orleans to the division title. The wildcard spot was deadlocked between Greensboro and Buffalo, who both finished the season with records of 87-75. In the one game playoff in Greensboro, a slugfest leads to a 13-10 Buffalo win, sending Mohammed back to the playoffs.

In the race for the Triple Crowns, Confucius maintained his lead in HRs and RBIs, setting new DCL records in both, but hit only .422 on the month and his final average of .448 was nowhere near Bondje's of .479. So, no soup for the CL deities.

In the United League, New Orleans Catcher Guru Nahak runs the board, finishing first in Batting Average, OPS, Homeruns (tied), RBI and Runs Scored to win the UL's Triple Crown and pretty much lock up his league's MVP award. Nahak had his best month for Average, hitting .522 in the 4 weeks. Hunab Ku, who held the UL BA lead heading into September, managed only to hit .430 and fell to 2nd place in the UL's Batting Average leaderboard, clearing the way for Nahak to grab the brass ring.

Here's how the playoffs shake out:

Hartford (Bondje) vs. New York (Awonawilona)
Oklahoma City (Apsu) vs. Charlotte (Abraham)
Seattle (Khonvoum) vs. New Orleans (Guru Nahak)
Buffalo (Mohammed) vs. Pittsburgh (Ometeotl)
