2013 NLDS review

The Atlanta Braves (98-64) defeated the Washington Nationals (100-62) 3 games to 1 to move on to the National League Championship Series. Justin Upton and Brandon Beachy were co-MVP's of the series. Upton batted .286 with a .416 OBP a HR and 3 RBI. J-Up continued with his flair for the dramatic as he provided a walk-off HR in the bottom of the ninth inning of Game 3 which provided the momentum that the Braves needed to clinch game 4. Beachy went 1-0 in 2 starts with a 1.38 ERA and he provided 7 shut out innings in the clinching game 4.

The San Francisco Giants (93-69) swept the Cincinnati Reds (98-64) 3-0 in the remaining NLDS series. The MVP of the series was Pablo Sandoval as he batted .467 with a HR and 3 RBI. The Kung Fu Panda sent a high fly ball through the night in the bottom of the 9th of game 3 that secured the Giants ticket to the NLCS.
