Best way to unretire a player
I am in the middle of fixing a player problem in my on-line league. He had several players at the end of our first season that gained 5 years in age when we proceeded to next season (I think this has to do with the test seasons we ran before we started) What I need to know is what is the best way to unretire them? Do I create new players and edit or is there another way?

Apparently once Pierre's Editor for vOOTP4 will allow you to do this whenever it is released. (If you do a search on this editor, you'll find out more info on what it does, progress on completion, etc.)
However, I don't think you'll be able to successfully unretire a player if he's already retired. Creating a new player will work for just his name, but there's no way to manually edit his career stats yet. If you want an ACTIVE player to resist retirement, the best you can do is manually edit his age back down a few years, and he'll probably keep playing for a little longer. |
