I'm both... I love online play, but on the other end of the spectrum; I just love simming seasons and drafting players at my own will!
Jason, I'm new to posting; But I've been lurking around for WAY TO LONG! |

I guess I am gonna have to break down and join an online league..It just sounds like too much fun..How time consuming is it? Is it fairly easy to keep up with? I wouldn't want to try being a commish yet, of course..

Both, I played only solo for the first 5 months or so... then joined the Boys of Summer League when it was formed; enjoyed it and will join another league shortly.
Its not too hard to keep up, but since I still frequently play my solo leagues I try to keep my online leagues to a manageable number; don't want to get confused and try and trade for a player in my solo league that only exists in one of my online leagues. |

I'll be flying solo (Although I don't run any teams in my fictional league, just administer, play god). Will be taking my Metro Leagues into its 10th anniversary season, using OOTP4.
With the addition of the email system I might take over one of the teams (The L.A. franchise most likely) or I'll start an additional solo project with the sole purpose of playing GM of a team. However, as a fan I do follow several online leagues. My favorite to follow is Home Town Baseball. There are others, too. I commished several leagues, and owned teams in leagues during the FPSBB days. It was fun and I would recommend online play to anyone who has the time. For myself, I just enjoy the solo approach. |

This is the only thing in which I am a switch hitter. I do both.

Both. Online leagues are fun but since I don't have much control over the league, players, and teams, I need to have my own fictional solo league to complement. My solo league is an extension of a fictional team I used to pretend I was on as a kid while throwing the ball against my pitchback.
When I played Whiffle ball with my friends, I was always the Dodgers (the days of Garvey, Cey, Lopes, Monday and so on). But when I was on my own, using the pitchback to practice, I was on the LA Thunderbirds and was the star shortstop. The rest of the team was fictional and I still use those made-up players today for my OOTP solo league. I would feel funny telling this to most people I know, but in a forum full of rabid fans of OOTP, it seems "normal".
