Bunker Hill 14, Lebanon 9 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

More offense! We drew 12! walks to go with our 14 hits. 1B Craig Clark was our most productive hitter, going 3-for-5 with 4 runs and 5 RBIs. 3B Russell McDonald drove in 4 and LF Phil Nolan scored 4 runs. Our pitching was shaky again (especially our mop-up relievers), but when you're scoring like this that's ok.

Bunker Hill 11, Freeburg 10 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

What a game. There were a lot of lead changes mostly in innings 3 through 5. RF Daniel McPherson led our offense with 4 hits and 2 RBIs, but everyone got involved. Tied 10-10, I felt that I needed to go to my best relievers early. MR Xavier Walsh (3 IP, 0 ER) and CL Artie Johnson (2 IP, 0 ER) deserve a lot of credit for this win.

Freeburg 6, Bunker Hill 5 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

We had two leads in this one but blew them and lost in the 9th. SP Joe Brown got the start for Freeburg and lasted 6 innings. He also gave Freeburg their first lead with a 2-run HR in the 4th. 2B Earl Lawson won the game in the 9th with a walk-off double with two outs and a man on first. Disappointing loss.

Bunker Hill 3, Freeburg 0 (MEBL -- Low Minors)

A nice 3-0 shutout. SP Don Lawson got the start for us today. He went 6 scoreless innings for the win. LF Spencer Flynn put us on the board with a sac fly in the 7th and 2B Barry Evans added to our lead with a 2-run HR in the 8th. The bullpen effectively nailed it down. They gave up just 1 hit in the last three innings.
