Lets just enjoy the game
Something occured in another post that kinda bothers me. I saw a newbie apologizing for asking for help. I just hope ootp forum doesnt come to that.
Im not gonna get on no soapbox but i been reading a few posts of oldies getting on newbies and vice versa. Hey guys its a game lets enjoy it and not treat people like enemys. Ive been playing since ootp2 but doesnt make me any better than someone whos picked it up yesterday. Ive never played in an on-line league, so some newbie might kick my butt there. I know the caps and same questions get frustrating and ive been guilty just like everyone else of maybe teasing or joking where a newbie may not understand i was joking. But im starting to look at it this way when i see all caps. Heres a excited first timer, who if is pleased with the game, more money for ootp. The more quickly we might get more improvements and maybe even another great sports game. And for the newbies, i know your excited and want the game to work but nobody can decide how the game should work for you. So you gotta experiment and test, read the manual, go to faq section, maybe do some research cause i bet that a lot of stuff you may have questions on are answered in downloads etc from these older players who've taken a lot of time to make rosters, photos, jerseys, team changes etc. and if you respect them they will respect you. I know that not one of the oldies has called me an idiot for asking a question. They might give a opinion that they would not do something that way but theyve always respected my choice in how i played the game and i respected them by not asking the same question if i saw it already and maybe doing a little homework. Its nice that they help but they got lives to live too. So how bout me shutting up and lets just get back to enjoying the game. |
