Post Minor Sims

How are the minor leagues simmed? More precisely, do the minor leagues each play a phantom team every day or do the minor leagues of major league teams play against the minor leagues of whichever other major league team they happen to be playing?

I assume it's phantom since there are no standings...

Games are simulated in the minors with the same engine that sims the major league games. I guess you would say they are phantom since you don't see scores, etc.

I meant phantom in the same respct that a minor league squad with only 3 OFs and no other hitters would have phantom hitters fill in the rest of the lineup.

So when the Mets play the Cubs, does OOTP sim the Mets AAA playing against the players in the Cubs' AAA?

Yes, the game creates "average" players to fill the empty lineup slots.

I guess it'd be easy enough to tell by adding up the W/L of each pitcher in AAA.. if the W don't equal the L, then we know the teams didn't play each other.
