Newbie thinking of buying
I was talking to Khaos over on the high heat message board and he recommended this game to me. I have played baseball sims for 14 years and this one looks fantastic. Im considering buying it, but I need to know if there are Major League Baseball Rosters and where would I download them from. Thanks for your time.

There are... and there are a whole bunch more addons to help give the game a big league field.
<a href="http://www.bigcitybaseball.com" target="_blank">http://www.bigcitybaseball.com</a> and <a href="http://www.ootpworld.com" target="_blank">http://www.ootpworld.com</a> are two excellent places to look for these addons. Welcome to OOTP. |

Buy it pal, you won't regret it We've got a great helpful forum of experienced users. An outstanding bunch of add-on and roster pack makers and an unreal and extremely responsive with a programmer.
We also have sarcastic fools like myself but you're free to ignore them (and watch out for Subby) Cheers Rich

One suggestion: BUY THIS GAME. I've played HH before too, and if you enjoyed the statistical aspects of that you will absolutely flip over OOTP. I've been playing OOTP for over a year now and I will never buy another PC bball game. With the user-created add-ons and the seemingly limitless customizing you can do, you'll never get bored with it.
No, it doesn't have the graphics of HH, but if you like bball for the strategy and the numbers (not to mention the history), then buy this game. Trust me.

Thanks for all the responses guys, I really appreciate it. I have been a stat nerd for a long time and will be buying the game right now. I do have one question though. I currently have to computers, how do I enable my licence to play the game on both computers? Also will this version Im downloading tonight alreading have the most recent patch installed? Bare with me fellows as I will probably be asking some silly questions being new to the game.
Thanks again, Jeff |

Each purchase of the game gives you 3 eLicenses to use, you can have it on two or three PC's at once or save them incase something happens(HD crash, etc). The most recently released patch is included in the d/l.

Jeff, there are no silly questions. Just do us a small favor and run a search on the forums before posting. Chances are, most of your questions will have already been asked by other newbies in the last 13 days.
Welcome aboard, enjoy the OOTP experience Cheers Rich

I bought the game and am loving it. Had one in game crash using XP so far but nothing major. I installed Rolen's rosters and am managing my yankees throughout the season. Does anyone here manage every game for their team? If you manage every game do the stats come out fairly close to the actual players seasons? Thru three games Rondell White has 3 HR for me and so does Jeter. Here's hoping they don't hit 80 each lol.

I play probably 90-95% of my team's games and the stats are very realistic, your guys are just hot right now. They'll cool off...glad you are enjoying it.

yeah, your guys will cool off. I had guys start off really good, and others really bad. 40 games into my season and everybody has leveled off.

Stats are NOT dead on, nor should they be. You should see close to real life stats, some surprises, and some disappointments. Although, I've never had to say, "There is no way this would happen in the MLB."

Good to see a couple familar faces here. Hey True Cardinal Fan how are you? I have played Som and DMB baseball and this game is by far the most addicting. Looks like my wife is going to have to find a good book to read.
