This past week the SLCBA completed its April sim schedule and moved into May of its 2nd season.
Defending champion California fell below .500 on the season, as did the rest of the Pacific Division, which is where they all were for most of 2011. California, however, holds the lead in the division.
Pacific cellar dweller Nevada saw an end to its 17 game losing streak when it swept 3 games from the Plains Division leader Nebraska this week.
The Mountain Division contains 3 teams with the top records in the league, and the last place team in the division, Colorado, with it's 14-11 record, would be leading 3 other divisions in the league.
The pitching has been hot this year, but the bats are beginning to shake off the winter dust and some outstanding numbers are being put up by individual batters around the league.
The league's trading period is about to begin and teams will be looking to put band-aids on some failed pre-season moves, while other will be looking to replace players who will be on lengthy DL vacations.
