Rookie Drafts in Online Leagues

Will you be able to hold a live rookie draft in online leagues? Some of the best draft moments come from surprising trades made during the draft and this could really help an online league's participation.

Do you play OOTP online? I think the better question is... How do we get all 32 GMs online at the same time... Our MLB 1st round draft takes weeks to complete. Now imagine if each GM can trade their picks. Time consuming.

I've taken part in about a dozen online Madden leagues (driven by some custom web software) and we can do a round a day. 15 minute pick window and if you miss your pick the draft moves on and you can make it when you show up. Shorter windows in later rounds.

I play in a 32 user madden league and we get about 29-31 at our drafts and knock it out in about 3 hours.

Hopefully we will get a draft list like OOTP uses.

Football drafts should have more interest than baseball ones.

The trading that can be done would excite a lot of people to show up.

Your league must be full of 15 year olds because I don't know 3 adults that can keep a schedule, myself included.

well what one of the PFS leagues I'm in does is get together online for the first three rounds and make all the picks in the chat. If anyone can't make it then they can either send a list, have someone pick for them, or get autopicked.

Doesn't OOTP have a draft application? That thing works great and makes online drafts feasible.

Honestly with how easy it is to stream on sites like twitch the commissioner can just stream the draft live and have users submit their picks through PM or Email or whatever messaging service the league uses. This isn't a necessary at this point in time I guess.
