3D Movement Cosmetic Issues

If the 3D movements cause major issues (ie. no 3D was generated, game crashes, game hangs, etc...), please post those in separate threads.

However, If the issue is simply a cosmetic issue, let's keep those to a single thread here. What I need from you guys is a clear description of the issue. To further help in debugging, when you replay the motion, a set of seemingly random numbers will be copied to your clipboard. You should simply be able to paste them here as well - they greatly help in tracking down problems!

Groundball infield Single to the catcher. The ball ended up bouncing past the second baseman and the catch ran out to get it.

If your issue includes balls or players going past the fences, then please also be sure to mention what stadium you are using!

A double down the right-field line and the ball and player disappeared into the right-field bleachers. Playing at the ballpark in Arlington Texas.

The pitch came from the left fielder, was hit to left field and thrown back to the infield.

There was no 3-D graphics for this entire play. No pitch or anything. Playing at the ballpark in Arlington.

That is the only thing my clipboard. Here is a screenshot of the play-by-play in the game log.

The ball was fielded in foul territory by the third baseman and the play-by-play says that it was a fair ball. Ballpark in Arlington.

Playing at Safeco Field. The ball was fielded in foul territory along the first baseline.

I can't seem to get the information to copy to my clipboard while watching the replays - is there anything in particular I need to do, other than simply watch them? I feel kinda silly, as the above clearly shows it works.

Anyway, I've noticed that after a player makes a catching error (the error might be against the throw, but you know what I mean.. after a catch fails to be made) in the field (outfielders or infielders), they move veeerrrryyy slowly over to the ball to pick it up afterwards. Meanwhile the baserunners stop when they get to the base, patiently waiting for them.

Given the circumstances in reality, the runners wouldn't have taken any more bases, but because it takes the fielder so long to slowly walk to the ball it looks, visually, as if the runner should have time to take an extra base in the simulation. It's the glacial pace of the fielder that's the bug.

2016 MLB QuickStart. Anytime I am batting, a ball is hit to an outfielder, I am given the option to advance the runner and I decline the 3D ball animation goes from the outfielder to the catcher (like normal), but then it goes back to the same outfielder that it came from.

For the Rogers Centre, the infield is supposed to be dirt this year. Truly a cosmetic thing otherwise. (Great job as always guys)!

I've noticed that, in general, animations always seem to be broken for in-game mid-play decisions. It seems to be 100% for me. So if the game asks me if I want to send a guy to third or home on a ball hit into the outfield, once it resumes after I decide, the animation will do something odd. In a lot of cases i'll see an outfielder throw to the catcher who then throws right back to the outfielder.

Player moving like snails on errors has been fixed. The in-game options doing weird stuff I believe should also be fixed too. Thanks

Error on Flyball to CF had no 3D animation at all. Sorry, didn't read the instructions on copying error log so I didn't capture it. Maybe there was nothing to capture

It was the Juan Uribe AB in the attached screenie. Hope that helps. Was playing at Progressive Field.

Sorry I didn't grab the details but on one play the CF'er threw the ball on a fly from the left center field fence to home plate,

I don't even know what happened here. The ball like, ricocheted off the left field wall and ended up in right field and the left fielder chased it all the way down. The animation never caught up to the actual play.

Also, just in general, the animations for outfield depth don't always seem to match what's happening in the game. For instance, I've seen plays where the center fielder appears to retrieve a ball at the warning track, but then the game gives me to option to send a player from third to home and the ball is described as "very shallow". I think this also contributes to a visually frustrating thing, where my outfielders appear to be retrieving balls in shallow territory and not throwing to third or home, so they appear to just stand there while the player runs the bases, lol.

What stadium was this in? Wall bounces are heavily dependant on the stadium

Oh ok, wasn't sure if it was a real bounce or just an animation glitch. Either way, it was Milwaukee.

This is an example of one of the scenarios someone complained about in another thread here. The play was a 2-4 putout, but instead of the ball stopping in front of the catcher it animated to short left center, and the catcher chased it all the way out there before finally throwing to 2nd. This one was in a custom park.

After being prompted whether to send the runner on a shallow fly ball and holding him pat at second base, the ball was thrown to the catcher, then back to the outfielder.

Minute Maid Park

Kind of a funky situation. The shift is on for a LHB. He hits a double to center field. While the ball is being fielded by the CF, the 3B, who is the only player on the left side of the diamond, goes to cover third base. Good move. As the CF throws the ball toward second base, the third baseman scurries to second base to take the throw, leaving third base unattended. Meanwhile, the SS is standing not too far away from second base. The SS should probably be the one to cover second base.
