Print runs for sports cards

Does anybody here know where I can find entire print runs for sports cards? I'm not just talking short print things, but for basic sets as well. Do the companies release this sort of information?

*sigh* - you know, I miss the days of collecting baseball cards. Mine have since gone the way of the dodo, but I seem to recall being able to order entire runs from specialized hobby stores. Unfortunately, many if not most of those have also joined the dearly departed.

Oh, what I meant was that I just wanted to know what they were, not how to actually get the cards. Companies list the odds (and usually the cards themselves are serial numbered) of the inserts, but they never say how many base set cards they make. I'm just wondering what that number is. Apparently the companies don't generally release that information for some reason.
