Total Pro Football

Can everyone who has stopped playing the game make it available to others. There are serveral online leagues but the players are being phased out because the game can no longer be bought,

If it can no longer be bought, why don't they just make it freeware?

The legal agreement that dissolved .400 Studios (and TPF) stipulated that it could never be sold/offered to the public again.

Thank you Joe Stallings for being..........well for being you.

I would buy it if I could. I played the demo. Unfortunately, I don't think I put it on CD.

While some aspects of the game bothered me, I wish it still existed. I really want to play a pro football text-based management sim.

Has anyone played the new Football Mogul? The demo seems OK, but I wonder how it holds up over several seasons' worth of play.

There is always FOF, I personally feel that Moguls stuff is way to "simplified" to put it in a PC way.

I haven't ever played FOF but from what I see it has a very strong following. Pro Football is not my thing so much though...

The play diagram screens in FoF are very poorly drawn and difficult to read. On many plays it's hard to determine which hole the runner is going to hit and which receiver is supposed to get the ball.

I have FoF The Fourth Edition, which was introduced several years ago. I was considering the current version, but will probably not buy it. I want my text-based sports management sims to remain text-based, but FoF has apparently had no graphical updates in 6-7 years, not even to make things as important as the play diagrams easier to use. For the price, I'm not sure the game is worth it.

For now, I'm sticking to Bowl Bound College Football.

I have a new football game that's been out for a few months now. http://www.barcodegames.com

Also have a league going at nfl2.barcodegames.com

It's the first version so it's not as polished as some of those other franchises that have been out for a while, but the engine is solid and I'm quick to tweak things to meet the needs of the players.

The demo is free to play and installs from the browser pretty quickly. For those of you looking for online leagues I'd be happy to hook up some guys with free licenses to help you get going. Just shoot me a note on the forum there if you're interested.

Thanks

Brooks

If anyone is interested in putting this game through the rigors of an online league for feedback purposes to Brooks, check out the Off Topic post at the TSW board.

18 team USFL setup, btw which was added by Brooks after being requested.
