player lost????

all of my players have been replaced by rookies and minor leaguers that have been retired for twenty+ years the same has happend to a the fewplayers on other teams I checked. All of the news for my team has the correct player names but they link to the replacements

How many years has your sim been going on for?

Do you have 'delete players who never make the majors' turned on?

07 but i was using a game i started on 06 and I was half way through the 2038 season and the delete players is on

Which version of OOTP 2007, please? It should display in the bottom left corner of the opening screen.

How large is the players.dat file in your .lg saved game folder found at C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2007\data\saved_games ? How large is your names.dat file?

my game is 2.2.0.53 and my players dat file is 39,936kb my retired palayers dat is 49,119kb

Can you please upgrade to version 2.0.3.68? It can be found at:

Index of /ootp - Download ootpb2007_patch_203.exe

You can try your league again to see if it works, but the old version of the game may have included a bug that messed up your league. Did you back it up at any point?

I updated but i still have the same problem my last bacup was a long time ago but how can i restore it

In your .lg saved game file, you should have a number of .bak files with the same names as your .dat files. I would back up your .dat files somewhere else, then rename all of your .bak files to .dat files of the same names. If your backup was sometime in the past season, you might want to try only restoring the players.bak file or the names.bak file, but if that doesn't work you'll have to do them all at once.

Please let us know how it goes.

i got my players back sort of the last time i backedup was 5 seasons before is ther any way to change the year to reset to the beginning of that year?

Unfortunately not. The date of your backup is going to be what you'll have to work with.

Is there anything else that I can help you with here?
