Crash when trying to run game.

I keep getting a failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). I've uninstalled downloaded from different source deleted directory and reinstalled twice and rebooted afterwards. I've done everything listed here....

First, make certain that you are using the latest version of the game. If you are using OOTP 2007, it should be 2.0.3.68. If you are using OOTP 8, it should be 8.0.0.13. If you aren't up to date, go to this page and download the appropriate patch or full installation files for your operating system.

If you are using Vista, make sure that you are running in Administrator Mode.

If OOTP won't open at all, uninstall OOTP and delete the OOTP directories in your Application Data folder. Reinstall OOTP and restart your computer. See if that fixes your problem. If not, post as such in Tech Support.

PC SPECS 5800 AMD Dual Core 4gb Ram 8800 gforce video card.

Any ideas?

Just to verify, you are trying to run OOTP 9?

What is your operating system, how much RAM do you have, and how much available hard drive space do you have?

You might want to download from another source just to be sure.

Do you have any other OOTP game installed on this computer?
