need help please

Ok I have downloaded the OOTP9 file no problem

When I go to enter my license it times out error 7 or after a few tries it says cannot get license error 9

I have preordered OOTP9

any ideas as to why i cannot get the game to work

Were you connected to the internet when trying to license the game? If so, do you have any firewalls on or any anti-virus programs running? Try shutting them off temporarily.

Iam connected to the internet and i have bitdefender on it asks me to allow the connection which i do

it then times out after a few minutes

Could you try to shut down bitdefender just for the licensing process?

Or use the "Get license offline" feature?

Have you tried temporarily disabling your firewall and then tried to license the game?

Also, if you are on XP you might want to check that the windows firewall is not turned on (I know I've had it switch on sometimes, even though I have it set to off)

well i have tried with fire wall off and bitdefender off still it goes thru the motions and comes back with

cannot get license error 9

says timed out not connected to internet

Until you can figure out the problem I would try the off-line licence option.
