Unhappy Sending the whole rosters to the minor leagues...

I am trying to play out a historical league starting in 1977.

The Toronto Bluejays and the Montreal Expos during Spring Training...send down the entire major league roster.

I usually set up a basic historical league and save it as a quickstart. Then I will play it different ways. Sometimes I have the rookies automatically assigned and the next time I may have a draft.

However, in the beginning I sim one season to make sure everything is working.

Well, Like I said...both teams are sending down all the players...

Thanks, I'm not too sure about Historicals, but I'll have someone with more experience here check it out and help you.

I just made a historical league beginning in 1977 and did not suffer the same loss of players during spring training.

Is this a quickstart in 1977 or did you begin by creating a historical league beginning in 1977 (which is what I did)?

Are the Montreal and Toronto roster spots taken by other players?

Thanks

Quickstart

It was a Quickstart I downloaded from OOTP's Mod Section.

I used it before in OOTP8.

Both the Bluejays and Expos major league rosters not filled. For the most part they are empty.

My advice is to check the teams involved. On their individual Home Page tab, select 'Options & Ballpark'. There is an option there that allows you to Prevent Roster AI movement. If you're trying to sim and see the results, this may work best.

Hope this is heading you down the direction you're trying to go.

Unhappy Now get this...

Following your directions. No rosters moves for the season. After the play offs, unchecked the option to allow roster moves. Now the rosters can move (Toronto & Montreal).

90% of players (including Gary Carter who made the All Star Team) were released by the perspective teams.

March 1978...Toronto has no body on the MLB Roster. Nor does the Montreal Expos.

Any idea?

Maybe OOTP doesn't like Canadian teams?

Very Funny.

I was thinking it was a way for Gary Carter to get out of Canada!

Smile More Humor

I checked Game Set Up.

Rules.

Foreign Player Limit was NO FOREIGNER ALLOWED.

I changed it to NO LIMIT.

Test 1. It seems to work.

Good. Can you let us know if you have any other issues with this or if it is continuing to work fine? Thanks.

As the OP has seemingly sorted the problem and there has been no further update to this thread in the last 3 days, it'll be moved to closed.
