Can't Start New 2008 Major League Game

Windows XP Service Pack 3
Pentium 4 2.4Ghz
Over 1Gb System Memory
128Mb Nvidia Video Card
Running From External Hard Drive

Not a major issue as I can run custom historicals but the program hangs trying to create a New 2008 Major League Game

Are you running any other programs while trying to create the saved game? I would attempt to close all of them and wait a little while longer when trying to create the game once more.

Could you please let us know if that helps?

Shut down Spybot,don't want to disable Norton 360,but still no success. Thanks for trying,again it's not a deal breaker and I'm enjoying the return of sound and exhibition game play (I'm not enjoying the results,the Red Sox have been pasted in 2 exhibitions against the Yankees)

Are fictional leagues created without issue for you?

Patience is the problem,I simply didn't wait long enough to proceed and assumed a system lockup. Working fine now,sorry to waste your time.
