Bug - Teams Make Trade Offers After Deadline?
I've created a custom league which I left the trade deadline settings to the default July 31st setting. But I had teams make offers to me after the trade deadline from anytime between Aug 2 - end of the season. Doesn't make sense why they would be making offers to me.
Plus the game is letting me make trade offers as well. I am still in season and it's after July 31st... |

Do the players involved have to pass waivers before being traded? If so, then this is working properly. Teams can essentially make trades past the deadline by agreeing to claim each other's waiver players. This matches MLB rules.

As Nutlaw said, the July 31 trading deadline does not prohibit trades after that time, it just requires that the players involved in any trade clear waivers first before the trade can proceed. The result is that while post-July 31 trades are difficult to do, they are not impossible.

Well I know in real baseball that is the way it works, but there isn't anything in the game that says anything about the players having to pass through waivers first. Plus the offers were pretty much just like the ones I was getting before the deadline as well, involving pretty good players.
But I guess I will take your word that the game actually allows those types of trades. It would seem that if those types of trades are allowed there would be a check box to enable or disable that option... (I didn't see one). |

As long as waivers are enabled and trades are enabled, waiver trades will be allowed.
