Mac Start Up Problem...
Hi there,
I pre-bought and then downloaded this game tonight, and after opening it and entering my license, I changed the resolution to fit my screen. Since I had to restart the game for my change to take effect, I did so, and now I can't open the game at all. I click to open and it kind of half pops up in the dock and then disappears. I'm worried about uninstalling because I already used my license and I thought you could use it on two computers, so I'd like to keep that ability. I'm guessing it has something to do with the resolution, but I really have no idea. And help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time. |

Okay, now I've posted two threads. I guess it's obvious I'm new? Anyways, I've found the fix posted for this, but I can't get the fix to work, which you'll probably read when my other thread gets posted (again, sorry, didn't think this one would get validated).
What I said in the other thread was basically that the fix isn't working, and I think it has to do with my game being in the applications folder? So if anybody can completely clarify what I have to type in if my game is in the applications folder, that would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, and thanks for your help. BTW, if whoever validates these threads is reading this, please don't validate my other thread. Last edited by wejo99 : 06-20-2008 at 11:54 PM. Reason: Umm, I'm pretty much a moron. |

My game is in the "Applications" folder, though I noticed the installer installed the actual save games folder into "Documents." But it worked fine for me.
Dumb question, but are you substituting your name into the terminal command? When you type: rm -f "/Users/your user name/.Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 9/config/app" you should replace "your user name" with your computer name. I believe it should be the same name that the terminal line gives you when you open the terminal (minus the $). Oh, and thanks to Andreas for quickly coming up on a solve on this issue.

Yeah, I replaced it with my username.
![]() It's still not working though. Do I have to press enter or something after I type it in? Because I've tried that too and it won't work. I've been quitting after I type it in, I don't know if it would help if I didn't? Edit: Oop, I got it! Don't know exactly what I did right or was doing wrong, but it's working now. Thanks for your help. ![]() Last edited by wejo99 : 06-21-2008 at 12:14 PM. |
