Minor League Players In Major League Stats List

In Major League player stats, Minor League pitcher Cliff Politte (Springfield Cardinals) appears multiple times (4). Don't know if this is an isolated thing or not. I'll post more if there are further examples.

are you using the major league quickstart and/or the New 2008 Major League button from the OOTP Main screen?

Is there anyway you could provide a screenshot of this?

Here it is. Cliff's in the second and third rows. As you can see from his uni, he used to play for the Sox, but he's definitely a minor leaguer now.

Has he been in the Majors at any point during the season? If so, he's probably still listed because your season is still very young so he still "qualifies" for whatever reason. I believe the same thing would happen if you demoted the HR leader to AAA. They would still be listed as the leader as long as they still qualify, but it would list their AAA team since that's where they are at present.

Now, this might be an interesting gray area. He's definitely in the minors, but this year he was a "non-roster invitee" to the Cardinals' ML spring training. So that might be the answer: he's not an MLB player, but he went to spring training. If that's the deal, then fine by me; I guess he'll fade when his minors stats start accumulating.

I'm playing the Cardinals with the built-in roster, and I'm pretty sure he starts out on the MLB team thanks to the AI combined with the roster's ratings. So in-game, he was technically on the roster when the season began.

And no, you won't always see his face. Soon he'll no longer qualify once you've played enough games to kick in the minimum innings pitched requirement.

Edit: Heh, you had a sneaky edit there while I was replying.

Edit 2: Ah, now I see he actually has stats. So if I had to guess, he pitched one runnerless inning, striking out one. He'll fade soon. I am curious how he got demoted all the way down to AA. The AI must have picked someone up.

That seems to be it, then. Thanks very much for your prompt late-night (early morning?) assistance.
