Minor league teams don't match real life?

I couldn't find this from the search function, but when I attempted to start a MLB quick start I noticed none of the minor league teams match their real life counter parts, which then cause them to not match up with their corresponding logos/jerseys/etc when I used the all-in-one mod. Was this done on purpose or did I just set up the league wrong? Thanks in advance!

When you say that the minor league teams don't match their real life counter parts, could you please provide a few examples?

Well, essentially all of the minor league teams have fictional cities and team names. As an example for the SF Giants their minor league teams should be:
But in my game they are:

AAA: Morrisville Volcanoes
AA: Garland Suncaps
A: Raleigh Wasps
Short A: Riverside Steamships
Rookie: Willcox Centennials

So I'm assuming since their names don't match up the minor league logos/jerseys cant match up from the all-in-one mod. I'm guessing that the real minor league cities/teams are supposed to be accurate but maybe something got messed up my game since no one else seems to be posting about it, but I wanted to make sure that there wasn't another reason why my minor league teams are not accurate.

In my current league using the QuickStart, the correct affiliate teams are in there for SF.

I think you're probably going to have to explain more precisely which quickstart you're using and the steps you're using to create it.

As noted by Nutlaw, there is a quickstart in the game which provides a proper MLB-style starting league. (I should know, I put together a comprehensive reference file during beta testing which laid out all the league structures, teams and nicknames, affiliations, and ballparks.)

Thanks guys, from your comments I figured out that I should have used the Quick Start Game feature instead of the New Game--> Historical League option. So I guess from the Historical League option the minor league teams are fictional but the quick start works fine.

Thanks!
