BZ 1649: Automator problem: generating reports hangs up

This isn't a new problem, it's been mentioned before, several problem had that problem in OOTP8. I am sad to say it is still present, though. I'm running the mac version of the game.

In the automator, if I select several options, including "Create & upload HTML reports", the game will, every time, hang upon generating HTML reports. It hang at 71%, when generating news files. I've been stuck on that screen for 25 minutes now. Now, it doesn't freeze or crash (I can click ESC and go back to the game), but it makes that feature totally useless. Now, if I go and generate HTML files manually, it works perfectly well - it's just very impractical, it takes a lot more time, and it makes a "feature" unusable. This is for my online league for which that feature ha worked well in the past - it just, at some point, stopped working (it was around the time I switched from OOTP7 for PC to OOTP8 for mac, but I can't remember if it was at that moment exactly).

In any case, it sure looks like a bug to me, and I'm rather bummed that it wasn't eradicated for OOTP9.

It may have been a past issue with the game that damaged your files at some point. Those sorts of things usually aren't fixed even if the bug is.

Is this the same league that was having the issues with FaceGen images?

This issue has been claimed fixed for the upcoming patch. If after installing it you still experience this problem, please post a link to this thread in Tech Support along with an explanation of what happened so that we can re-open the report. Thanks!
