BZ 1527: FA signed below minimum salary, for 190,000/year

A free agent was signed by one of the AI computers for a two year deal worth a total of $380,000 - that's 190,000/year. I am playing with the standard MLB minimum of $390,000/year.

This was one the opening day of spring training, done with a league that was based on the MLB roster set that came in the patch. I made sure to correct all of the settings for the league, so financials are on and the minmum salary is set.

Can you try and offer a free agent a contract valued like that? Or does it say that the minimum salary is not being met?

No, I can't propose a similar deal. I tried several combinations, but couldn't find a way to propose any deal with a year under the minimum salary.

Can you find anything unusual about the player in question?

This is logged, it's BZ# 1527.

I had 15 or so guys like this, the only thing I saw was that none were drafted (maybe were all hidden players).

This issue was claimed fixed for the upcoming patch. If you still have trouble with this matter after patching, please post a link to this thread along with a detailed explanation of what happened and we will re-open this report. Thanks.
