I haven't tested any other season so I don't know how they work, but I do know there is a problem importing the 1969 season.
Many outfielders seem to not be getting ratings due to poor ratings in the 3 rated areas (range, error, arm). It appears most of them are players who played CF in their career along with their primary OF position. Bobby Bonds, Bobby Murcer and Vada Pinson stick out. This was imported from the in game database, but it happens regardless of what database I use. There was never this problem with earlier versions. The ratings are on a 1-100 scale. I am importing as a stand alone season, but I doubt that doesn't make a difference, and with recalc turned off, though it did the same thing with recalc on. I am also using real ratings, not normalized. Last edited by StyxNCa : 07-01-2008 at 05:08 PM. |

So with or without recalc, there is a problem. Thanks for the effort though! ![]() I guess I can create 2 leagues, one with recalc and the one I will use without it. Then I can just manually put the ratings in. Still, I didn't have to do it this way with older versions, even OOTP 8 which had the recalc option. As for Carbo, he was just a pinch hitter in '69 with just 3 AB. Last edited by StyxNCa : 07-02-2008 at 08:34 PM. |

Ok, so it isn't something I'm doing wrong. They changed something in the recalc/no recalc thing I reckon. One thing in common I have noticed about the players involved. It seems to be a RF/CF combination (where players top 2 OF positions are such). LF/CF players don't seem to be effected nor do straight CF players. So, I wonder, having figured out that much if it will be looked at by Markus. Last edited by StyxNCa : 07-02-2008 at 07:43 PM. |

This may help. I tried importing Bobby Bonds into the league that imported him with extremely low ratings (recalc off) and I used a database of the 1969 season where the players from that year have ONLY their 1969 stats in the database and Bonds imported correctly. It seems when there are multiple years and a player played both RF and CF the ratings get screwed. As I said earlier, there is no problem when a player is a LF/CF.
I also created a new 1969 league using the "1969 only" database with recalc off and there were no problems. |
