Anderson Utilities - CleanHistory
This is a quick and easy one that was a special request.
This program will quickly erase all of the history for all of the players in the league. Just unzip it to the folder: C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2006\data\saved_games\1940 Fake Draft.lg\news\txt\players Of course, your league may not be named 1940 Fake Draft!! Run the program from there and in a few seconds you have it cleaned. The files are sent to the recycle bin, in case you changed your mind. CAUTION: This will work on any TXT files in the folder you run it in, so don't put it in other folders!!

Are you saying I can use this in the News/Text/Leagues, the News/Text/Teams, etc.... and accomplish the same thing? Or is it simpler to delete the directories, recreate them empty, in order to start fresh? That's what I did for Team histories and all seems well ...... so far.
![]() And thanks for yet ANOTHER fine utility to help us achieve our ambitions and correct our mistakes.

Yep, I guess you could.
The program just simply erases the contents of all the .txt files in the folder you run it in. Simple as that. I STRONGLY suggest that you archive the information before you run it in case it causes any problems.

You may want to run it by Markus to see if this would create any side effects.

If you're taking requests... would it be possible for you to make a program that allows us to delete deleted players from the players.dat file? Although looking at your other programs, none of them seem to actually change the data in the files...

Nope, be too hard to backwards engineer the data file.
