Win Shares and HOFmeasurements
For anyone who used it the one for 2006 does not work for 2007.
I've almost got it revamped, it'll be another couple days. Oh, and this time it'll work right. Setting up a league in 2006 took me forever, with 2007 I've found a couple problems in the multi major league handling.

It's finished and ready... I emailed it off to Modsquad and... okay my memory doesn't work, but I emailed it to two people just now.

Tysok,
Great program! When do you suggest running this? I ran this in the middle of my first season to check it out and it gave no player listings. I did the csv dump and set the path to the export/import of my saved game. Thanks for any help you can provide. |

Sorry for the dola but what I meant was that the win shares works fine but the HOF monitor doesn't give any listing. Does this only work after season, with retired players or am I an idiot and not doing something right?
Thanks! |

But I would suggest you run this just after the season ends, the day after the playoffs. There was a problem in 2006 where players were left out of quite an important file when they retired, if you do the dump and figure the win shares right after the season ends you catch them before they retire. If you do run it in the middle of a season... well actually I need to fix that for multi-ML use I guess. When you run it it writes all the info into a table... so at the end of the season it would either say you've already run it or it'll write it twice... so everyone would end up with 1.5 times the win shares they should, or whatever. You'd have to go in and run the "Repair crash while figuring win shares" to get rid of what had been done before. It asks for the year and deletes everything having to do with that year. I need to fix that so it asks for the year and the league... otherwise in a multi-ML universe where you've figured the Jap league at the end of their season, but need to delete the American info it kills both.... oh well... just don't do it. ![]() The screens are limited to players that get at least 1 HOF Monitor point. To get a point for hitting over .300 they have to have played in 100 games that season, you probably did this before 100 games were played. They could also get points for over 35 doubles or over 30 HRs... it was probably just too early in your first season for anyone to have qualified to get any HOF Monitor points.

Thanks Tysok, I appreciate the information and your patience since I didn't see (hence:read) the help file before I posted.
I am using your utility to figure my manual award so thanks for explaining how to undo the win share as I had run it mid season. Thanks again for your utility! Chris |

A bump and a thanks. Great program!
I used this to get Win Shares mainly, but the points are great too. I used it to go with the user created award. I made mine the MVP and will use the Win Shares to determine the winner. |

I just want to say what an awesome, awesome program this is. I am using it on my historical league, which started in 1901 and is up to 2009. I used the program for the first time after the 2007 season and it imported all the HOF measurements with no problems at all. Thanks for this

I'm sure the commish could use it with no problem in an online league. I think the online league would have to have been entirely made and played in 2007 for it to work.

I was hoping someone could help me. I am a total novice to the world of mods, but was interested in this one. I went to Padresfan great site and downloaded the file...now what ? I see the Microsoft Access "file", but not a Help file. Can someone walk me through the process of getting this to work (where do I save it on my PC, etc etc) ? Thanks everybody

When you open the file, there is a help file there. The help file is very detailed and will walk you through everything.

Thanks, but I may be an idiot. I open the Win Shares 2007.zip and the only file in there is Win Shares 2007.mdb.

Once Access opens the database, there is a menu with an option to View the Help File.

I open the Win Shares 2007.mdb...I open the file...I see a pop up that says it's a read only database...I click OK...I don't see anything in Microsoft Access (I have Access 2000). Ideas what I should do next or what I've done incorrectly ?
