I had one of those "I can't sleep" nights, so, since I just installed the 2008 version of VB (non-express) and I did not want to do any 'work', I sat down and wrote a new program.
It is not complete yet, but here is a peek of it. It should be self explanatory. Some of the things I want to add are: vs. Team look in the almanac and create a lifetime HTML pages Automate creating the HTML for players with XX home runs And whatever else I can steal from BR.com and what you guys suggest NOTE: This early version includes spring training. Adding the date of the game and the team is going to be harder. Not really harder, just slower, as that information is NOT in that CSV file, so I would have to load in another one and it would slow it down. The RBIS are RBIs that were obtained from the long ball.

Anyone interested in this program?
The hitter list on the left now only shows players with 1 or more HR, also shows how many home runs they have. You can now filter out the spring training and post season games. You can also click on the game number to see the actual box score of the game. Here is an updated screenshot:

Holy cow. I wish I had your skills, as I have tons of ideas and all I can do is mess around in Excel. Might be time for me to upgrade some skillsets.
In any case, I love this. Nice gee-whiz fodder for immersiniks everywhere. Great work.

No new updates, been busy with 'real' work, but should have this ready for the public soon.
Another quick and easy program is one that I would love to see display this: The Tigers are 31-20 when Inge is playing 3B The Tigers are 2-20 when hitting no home runs. Verlander is 14-2 when pitching on 4 days rest Verlander is 2-11 when pitching on 3 days rest All sort of different scenarios could be checked for. When leading after X innings, when scoring X runs, when allowing X runs, when pitcher was laid before the game, etc...

Larry, you are a genius. Can you call this your ABS utility(Anderson's Sports Bureau)? I simply love this idea!

Wow...that would be cool to have. I know as my favorite players reach their primes and beyond I would be reviewing those crazy stats and the vs team stats alot....I just like that kind of stuff.
