Error: 0070: (terminal)

When manging the game in SION WebCast I can get a few batters / pitchers/ innings into the game when I will get the messge

" Error: 0070: Scrollbar skew values are invalid."

If I click OK, my game is gone (OOTP crashes) and the data / moves I've made and innings played are lost when I re-open it.

Im running Windows 2000 on a 2.0 gig machine (I think) and 512 ram.

Make sure your screen resolution is at 1024 by 768 at the minimum, and let us know if that fixes the problem.

It is.

And teh rest of the info I forgot..

Hi everyone,

Welcome

If you have a problem to report, please do your best to provide the following information:

1. What, specifically, were you doing when the problem occurred? Include the specific screen you were on when the problem occurred.

Watching the SION Webcast of my game. Managing the team, hitting various keys for various choices. I think it happens while trying to switch to a new batter, but I'm not sure.

2. What happened? Was there an error message? If so, what was the specific message?

See original post.

3. Were you able to repeat the error with this same game? With another game? If so, what steps did you take?

I opened the league again. Repeated signing with Chicago. Repeated my scouting moves, and went to manage a game again (it may not have been the same game.). After watching in Broadcast for a bit I switched back to Webcast, and the error re-appeared.

4. If relevant, what do you think the program should have done?

Obvioulsy I think it should have continued simming the game. I think it was trying to bring up a new batter, but I am not sure.

5. What is your league configuration (fictional/historical, etc.)

I think I am in a 16 team fictional league (from the quick start), but I don't remember ..

Additionally, if your problem is related to system performance, memory utilization, or the like, please include details about your computer's
hardware and operating system.

I am running a system with a 20 gig hard drive mirrored with a 100gig hard drive. (I know that makes very little sense, but that is a long story.)

Thanks very much!

Steve

Can you save the game before this (hoping it crashes every time) and send it over

Marc. I actually managed an entire game out via the Broadcast before logging off last night. I could not find the "save" button / link.

I'll see if it does it again with the next day's game.

By "It" I assume you mean the league folder/files ? Shall I zip them and use what method to get them there? I could e-mail it, to what addy?

thanks, I know I should have just started a different league while waiting to resolve this, but I so badly wanted to see a game play out...

Gentle bump.

I got the same error even after having played out the other games.

I need to know what files to .zip and where (what e-mail address) to send them to?

Help ?

Mad Jackal,

Could you please try this again with the patch, and let us know if it behaves in the same manner? I expect it might, but it helps to know.

Can you also tell me, are you playing in Windowed mode or Full Screen? (I'm guessing Windowed. If so, does the same problem occur in Full Screen mode?)

Bump. Can you confirm whether this is still an issue?

Thanks!

Since we haven't been able to replicate this, and haven't gotten more information, I'm going to move this to closed/claimed fixed. Please feel free to post a new thread if any issue comes up!

Thanks,

Steve
