Lahmann import=invalid free agents?

I'm creating a solo league using Lahmann's 5.3 database starting in 1996, and after I set everything up, I look at the free agent list, and I have TONS of players who are from the current era. And the weirdest part is that the players have career stats that are completely incorrect. I had to end up deleting all of the free agents. Is this a bug with the software, or a problem with the way I imported the league?

I apologize for the dealy in looking at this issue. Could you please give more details with regards to the players career stats being incorrect? Also, did you have ANY other leagus at all selected to be created when you set this up? Major, minor or foreign? I just tried importing 1996 and ONLY having it as the league in this "world" and do not see any of what you have mentioned.

I saw this twice while doing a full-blown MLB universe. I'll try it again with just the Major League level and will see if I have the same problem.

Any update on this? I've been unable to replicate the issue.

If you do manage to replicate the issue, please provide the specific steps you used, so I can try to nail this down!
