Draft screwed when trading draft picks.

I recently made a trade months before the ammy draft in order to get a first round pick. HOWEVER, the stupid game didn't give me that pick!!!!! What makes it a real shame, is that it was a decent player for a 1st rounder, 3rd, and 8th rounder!

I am playing in a historical league now in 1904, I made three separate transactions for what should have been 3 of the first 4 picks. When the draft came around all I had was my regular pick, last in the first round....

On 11/30 I traded for New York's 1st round pick which according to last years standings would've been 3rd overall. It's draft time now and they still have their pick and my player.

I realize this doesn't help with your bug issue, but there is a simple workaround for this if you're playing in Commissioner mode. Just find the teams on the draft page who are holding on to your picks, click on them, and reset them to your team. DO NOT touch the button near the bottom of the screen that asks if you want to reset all subsequent rounds of the draft to be the same as this one (lesson learned the hard way).

I had the same thing happen, my team was going no where and I traded a bunch of my veteran players for draft picks and then the draft comes around and I didn't receive said draft picks. I wonder if a team trades its draft pick but also signs FAs and have to give compensation if the AI just ignores the trade and gives the free agent's previous team the pick as compensation. Or perhaps the AI is just not sending the pick no matter if a FA was signed or not. You can try to work around it but it is kind of aggravating if you make several trades.

There does seem to a problem with the new code that 'protects' the first half of the first round picks from 'compensation'. Can any of you guys confirm that all these picks were early first-rounders?

Just tried again with the final patch. and no draft pick.... should have been the 4th overall pick.

Of I wanted to go back to 1.02a do I need to do a complete re install? For the way I like to play 1.02b and 1.02 final have been MAJOR steps backwards.
If I am unable to go back to 1.02a I would just uninstall the game...milo
