All-Star Problem

I just started the 3rd season of my sim and noticed that the 08 All Stars arent announced until 09 and the 08 all star game isint played until 09. Didn't have a problem like this in the first 2 years I simmed.

No All-Star Game

It seems to be touch and go - some people have the problem, some don't. My understanding is that it was an issue which was fixed to some extent in patches but now other people are having the same problem with different patches. Are you using the most recent patch?

Yeah most recent patch. Hadn't done this before until I installed the last patch.

I'm also using the most recent patch and ran into this problem (I'm using Cubby/Rolen rosters, not sure if that matters)

I got this also this afternoon. I'm in the 2007 season of the Cubby roster and I'm running the latest patch.

This is definately different from TT#1848, which was claimed closed in build 12262, but which seems to be still around. However, it may be related, as I recently noticed my schedule grid starts the day I was supposed to have an ASG last year. I have about 9 months of off days before my season starts, and no ASG scheduled at all.

Is your schedule grid weird in any way? I'm thinking, maybe you have 9 months of off days after your season ends, then an ASG ...

This a big deal and I havent heard a response from anyone involved in the game. I don't want to continue playing this league until it's fixed because I think it could cause major problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry about the very slow response to this thread, guys. Now that they've brought in more help, we're trying to get caught up on all of this.

Is this still an issue, or did the last patch or a subsequent roster release fix it?

First time with this problem with the new patch

5th year into my historical league and so far no problems with the All Star Game until now

I am in July and all teams have 3 days off for the all star game from Monday July 13th to Wed July 15th with no all star game scheduled

I check the and the All Star game is scheduled for 8/08, problem is teams are playing regular games on that date so no All Star game has been scheduled

Did not have this problem with past patches......

So 5 years into my sim and no All Star Game, oh well

Did you at some point increase the number of games scheduled or change the season start date?

It definately sounds like a schedule generation problem, but we need to figure out if it's spontaneous, or if there's a trigger for it.

It is an historical league using historical schedules that are included with the game. The year in question is 1981. I started in 1977 and all the years up till 1981 are fine, could it be becuase it was a strike year. Just guessing.

That actually sounds like a reasonable explanation. Maybe make a copy of the league, sim the copy to the next year, and see if 1982 is fine?

Just started the 1982 season and the all-star game is back to being correct, it must have been the strike year of 1981 that caused an anomoly in the schedule
