Could Not Find Historical Database

I tried setting up a historical league today, and got this message every time I loaded it up:

I have the path set in the League Setup -> Rules tab to the same path I used to generate the league in the first place, but OOTP throws up that message every time.

I have not yet simmed a season to see what happens, so the message may be a false error...I can't recall seeing any other posts on this, and a quick search for "historical database" in TT comes up dry, as well.

Do a search on your system for a file called master.csv and see if another copy appears anywhere other than the folder you've set. If so, then that's the location the game is probably trying to use. Maybe you inadvertently were using two copies of the database.

Well, I am using more than one copy of the database, but it's not inadvertent. This evening, though, I might try "hiding" all my other master.csv files, and see if that makes a difference.

Alright, I renamed all other "master.csv" files, same thing.

I deleted all other databases, same thing.

I renamed the database directory "c:\stats" instead of "c:\stats53", same thing.

I created another historical league (taking all the defaults), same thing.

I guess I'll just back up my league before I sim anything in case it blows up going into the next season...well, I'd back it up anyways, but still...

Sorry no one got back to you about this, Eriq. Did you ever get this issue resolved?

We usually close threads if they've gone without a response for seven days, as is the case with this one, as it can be assumed that the problem has been resolved.

If you'd like me to re-open the thread, feel free to PM me with a link to it. Thanks!
