Just keeps on simming!

Having bought the game on release day, I've not really got into it so I don't know if this is a new thing or not. I'm using the latest patch.

If I press the "Auto-Play until event" button from the schedule screen and the event is in the same year I'm currently playing then there isn't a problem. It will stop simming at the correct date.

If I select for it to sim to the first year draft which is set to be in the middle of the following season, it will start simming and won't stop until I press the stop button. I have simmed multiple seasons this way.

Surely this can't be right?

Before I try to repeat this, can I clarify that you are (for example) in 2006, and trying to sim forward into 2007 draft day. Does your playing calendar go over the year boundary?
