After crash game runs extremely slow

game was going good but it froze while I was doing nothing in game. So I was forced to restart my computer and now everything takes longer to load and sim. I checked my computer, its definitely the game. Is there a way to save my league and fix the error or whatever is going on?

Any chance that you're low on disk space and/or your HD is heavily fragmented? That could potentially affect sim speeds quite a bit, especially if you're saving all box scores and game logs, or auto-saving the game regularly. It's also going to become slower when your league has several years worth of data already.

I have 13GB of free space on my computer and I did disk cleanup, etc to try to get it down. But it didn't go down much so I don't think this is the problem. Though my external hard drive is coming soon.
