double CEI

I'm not even sure what might be causing the bug here, but maybe somebody else can make sense of it...

Thanks to Comedian's AUCEI utility, I noticed that both of my 50-year sims had a player who apparently suffered two CEIs in one day.

Number 1:

20240729 B. Hillyer was injured while running the bases. The Diagnosis: Torn Back Muscle. This is a CAREER ENDING injury!
20240729 B. Hillyer was injured on a defensive play. The Diagnosis: Fractured Finger. This is a CAREER ENDING injury!

Number 2:

20210825 N. Roa was injured while running the bases. The Diagnosis: Torn Back Muscle. This is a CAREER ENDING injury!
20210825 N. Roa was injured in a collision at a base. The Diagnosis: Fractured Wrist. This is a CAREER ENDING injury!

Fractured Finger and Fractured Wrist aren't even set up as potential CEIs in injuries.txt.

Is this a weird manifestation of the bug where injured players stay in the game on defense (and these two guys happened to be injured a second time after their CEI), or is this something completely different? I'm at a loss here...

Are both injuries listed in the players' history, or just in the AUCEI output?

They're both listed in the players' histories, as well as in the team-specific injury history files for those seasons. The latter is where AUCEI pulls the data from, FWIW. (The player histories don't include the "while running the bases" etc. information.)

My quotes above were also pulled directly from the team injuries files (though I removed the HTML links for readibility reasons), just to make sure it wasn't AUCEI's doing. In the player histories, it looks like this:

20240729 Injured (Torn Back Muscle), career-ending injury!
20240729 Injured (Fractured Finger), career-ending injury!
20240730 Released by the Fort Worth Cats
20240829 Retired from professional baseball.

20210825 Injured (Torn Back Muscle), career-ending injury!
20210825 Injured (Fractured Wrist), career-ending injury!
20210826 Released by the Florence Freedom.
20210827 Retired from professional baseball.
