replacing injured starting pitcher causes crash

This has happened twice now.

When I have to replace a starting pitcher who has been injured (I haven't had a rp go down with an injury yet, so it may be any pitcher), when I drag and drop his replacement in (paying in a dh league), the game crashes.

The good news, I still have my # 1 & 2 pitchers, the bad news, I don't get to test my team's depth.

2 more starters get injured, your problem is solved.

Just curious, are you dragging them to the pitchers name on the right hand side? It should be empty at this point.

I can think of a couple times my starter went out (1 with a no-hitter through 5 innings) and I did not have a problem.

Yes, I am dragging the pitchers to the right side that is blank. It is a DH league I am playing in.

It happened with a RP last night. It looks like I will never have to worry about having an injured pitcher...

It's happened again. This problem doesn't happen with position players, just pitchers. I should have five pitchers injured right now (assuming they were more than a few days). It feels like I'm cheating.

It happened again. This time I took note of how long the pitcher was hurt before replacing him and will send him down for the allotted time (7 months).

Is there anymore info I should be giving?

OK, this is just getting aggravating and I'd like to finish a season without having to replay every game a pitcher goes down.

I give up. What do I have to do to get this problem addressed? The game crashing and losing the game at least once a day (I play out about 10 games a day when I have the time) is not fun. Sorry to start to get impatient, but I really like the league I've created and want to be able to play it without crashing.

I wish I knew if this was happening with other leagues, but this is the first one I've made that's gotten this far, and I don't want to play out every game in other leagues until a pitcher goes down.

However, if there's anything i can do to get this problem tackled, please let me know.

Man, I wish I could help you. I see we are the only two members on the boards this morning (assuming it's morning where you are), so I just wanted to tell you that somebody is listening.

This is a lull period in the development cycle for this game, so you may not get an answer for a while. I do have faith that you will hear from them eventually, but of course that does not help you on a Saturday morning when you want to play your game.

Just an obvious suggestion. Have you tried backing up your saved game and reloading the program (being careful with the license)? If it's the program that is causing the problem, that might work. If it's your league set up, and the trouble is stored in those .dat files, probably not.

Good luck.

bump. figured I'd try a last chance at this. I have reinstalled to no avail. I haven't played the game for over a week now, but would love to start again.

Please let me know if you need further info.

Tom,

I apologize that it has taken so long for you to get a response. I have tried to recreate this issue on my end, but have been unsuccessful. Do you still have a league file that contains this crash so I can try it on my pc? Please let me know so I can try to help you figure this out. Also, please let me know whether or not you are on the latest patch 1.03. Thanks.
