Does it always occur when you do the same thing? Does it happen with all of your saved games? Thanks, Steve |

Hi Steve,
It happens when I am loading my league. It also happened one-time when I began simming a season, but that was only once. It only happens with my one league. Quote:

Kivlehan,
Does this error appear in an OOTP error message, or is it a Windows error message pop-up? Does the game continue after the error? Or does it crash? If you create a separate game file, does that experience the errors, too? One thing I would suggest is rebuilding your skin. To do this, use the following steps: 1. Shut down OOTP 2. Navigate to the directory for the skin you are using. For example, if you use the Brown-Green skin, the default is this: C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\OOTP Baseball 2006\data\skins\brown green 3. Find a file called skin.bin, and rename it skin.old. 4. Start the game. The game will automatically load the skin again. This may take a few extra minutes. 5. Continue playing your game, and see if the problem reoccurs. Thanks! Steve |

Hi Steve,
It is actually a Windows erorr message pop-up. I tried the skin file rename and that didn't work, I still get the error. The game crashes after the error. I'm not sure if this info will help, but I Googled the "unable to allocate dynamic memory" part of the error and some interesting results came up on http://www.google.com/search?sourcei...amic+memory%22 Also, no it doesn't happen if I load one of my other leagues. Thanks, Chris Quote:

Kivlehan,
I'm not really sure what this could be. I can log this for Markus to take a look, but I'm at a loss. My next suggestion would be to uninstall and reinstall the game, and see if you still get the same error... Very strange. Can you post a copy of your league file for us to look at? Use the FTP instructions here: How to FTP Files to Us |

Hi Steve,
I posted my file on the ftp size in the game-save folder. A reinstall didn't do the trick unfortunately. Thanks, Chris Quote:

I actually simmed from 1870-1939. The league is awesome. Basically every major city in the world has a team. Granted, it is large. If you notice the DB for players is at 500MB which I thought was insanely high even for a league of that size (surely retired players could be saved into a seperate database). I do have it set so that players who don't play in the majors get deleted. I'm not sure if that is actually working though considering the Player DB size. |

I'd have to agree with Azamien. However, I would urge you to hang onto this league, even if you have to put it on hold until 2007 comes out. I don't know for certain, but I'm hopeful that the next version of the game will be able to handle this situation. Since you like the league so much, it would be a pity to throw it away, only to find out later you could have kept playing it in 2007!
For now, I'm going to close this thread, because there's unfortunately nothing we can do to help with this league right now.
