Patch Problem

When I try running the patch on my laptop I get an error that says

"Unable to install update -- Installed version information is corrupt"

which doesn't make sense to me since I haven't downloaded anything other than my online league file. Does this mean that I have to reinstall the whole game?

What patch are you trying to install and where did you dowload it from? First thing I would do is try to download the patch again from this site.

It is the 6.3 version and I am downloading it from the OOTP site. I have downloaded and tried it three times just to make sure it wasn't the file...

Any other thoughts or should I just reinstall the game?

I would try a complete reinstall and see what happens. Make sure to reboot after the uninstall and after the reinstall.
