Never get the option to move teams from league to league

Whoops, posted this in the wrong forum before.

I've searched, couldn't find what I was looking for, didn't see it in the manual.

I've got a fictional universe with five leagues, one of which is a minor league for another. The leagues all play short seasons, 36-60 games, starting at different times, all in the USA.

I want to move teams between leagues, but in the Edit League Structure screen, the option never comes up - the column where the "Move Team" buttons should be stays empty. Is this because the leagues start at different times? Is it a bug? Am I doing something wrong?

Please advise.

Yes, it is because the leagues start at different times. You can only move teams during the offseason and /or pre-season. If one of the leagues is at this stage, but the other is not, then you can't move the teams.

Ok, thanks. Do you know if I resync the leagues' schedules for the next season, if I will then be able to move teams around?

You should be able to. Obviously, make a backup of the league before you change your schedules in case something goes wrong. I'm pretty sure this will work though. I'll leave this thread open. Please post back and let me know what happens.

Update: Last night, immediately after all my leagues' seasons ended, I adjusted them all to begin on June 1, except the one minor league, which begins on June 7. I zipped straight through to the following preseason and - the move team buttons did not appear. They did not appear before preseason either.

This is frustrating. Even if I did something 'wrong' to cause this - and I very well may have - I shouldn't have to wonder what it was. Anyway, thanks for your continued help.

You have been very responsive, which I appreciate, but I have lost interest in my league due to the many difficulties I've had. And now that 2007 has been announced, and has many of the features that I have missed, I've all but deleted 2006 from my PC. I look forward to playing (and helping troubleshoot) the next version.

Thanks for letting me know. You won't be disappointed by 2007. It is already an unbelievable game and there are still 2 months of beta testing left to make sure it is completely polished.
