Crashing on draft day

Left ootp 2006 for a few months. I went out and bought some new memory, taking me up to a gig. Tried to start up a 36 team fictional league with 5 levels of minors, and sim some history before getting going. However, it crashed after 14 years on draft day. Re started at the last save...same thing. Repeated a few more times, no luck.

Thought I better start again, this time with a 32 team league and 5 levels of minors. It crashed on draft day after 16 years (instead of the previous 14).

Any thoughts? I reinstalled patch 1.03, BTW, after the last crash.

Thanks

If possible, upload the file for me to take a look at: How to FTP Files to Us. Thanks!

The file is on the way, but this crash is on April 7.

Thanks for the help.

On a whim, I emptied the teams folder in the news folder of the saved game directory. It has seemed to work, I've simmed another 10 years, without a crash.

I am surprised, because I just thought the news folders were just a bunch of text files. Is there any other instances of this phenomena? Or, am i just lucky?

Wow, that is good to know. Maybe there was a bad news item that the game was trying to pull. Also, it could have been a matter of hard drive space due to the fact that the news folder can get large. Anyway, I'm glad you got past this crash.
