The walks being wrong in the league totals was causing an overrun of some kind which causes the game to crash. I downloaded the league file that you linked to, changed the walks (as explained in the thread that I linked to), and simmed for a year without any problems.

The only person you can blame for not testing this is Cubby. It's is a user created mod to the roster set. Doesn't come with the game. Sorry. It seems something better is on the way anyway.
