Injured players playing
Latest patch, fictional MLB-style universe:
I was looking at a few minor league batters, and noticed some strange stat lines- one RF had played in 45 games, with no at bats. I thought he might be an extreme defensive replacement, so I checked his fielding stats: all 45 games were starts, 29 innings played in total, 5 total chances in the outfield. His history revealed the bug- he was injured with a fractured ankle the whole time, not a day-to-day injury, but an on-the-shelf one. For whatever reason, the AI started the player despite the injury, then removed him after half an inning. I've found one other player with a similar stat line and injury history- and I know this player was injured the whole season because I had edited him in January to give him a 12-month injury (he's still injured). I'm not playing with ghost players, and the season's over now, so I can't go back to check if their teams had a player shortage- their rosters would certainly have had 25 players, but there may have been many injured players on the rosters. In any case, it's a minor bug, but somehow the AI isn't handling injured minor leaguers correctly. |
