Cannot Continue Season

The game date is 4-22-09 and I cannot simulate to the next day. I've already played the 4-22 game and when I click sim the box comes up at 100% and the date stays 4-22-09. The only thing out of the ordinary that I can find is that the high school feeder leagues are each having their All Star games on 4-22. Can anyone help me with this?

No, I added three leagues and feeder leagues for them after playing two seasons with only one league and a college and feeder league. This is the first year having four leagues. It really sucks if nothing can be done to fix this because I was really enjoying playing with this league.

Well, I may have been a bit too flippant in saying "not much can be done". For one thing, there's a solution posted in the thread I linked, unfortunately it's rather cumbersome and involves hex editing of integral game files. Assuming it's the same bug, which I did...perhaps a bit too quickly.

At any rate, are you 100% sure you didn't delete leagues at any point? Doesn't have to be a full-fledged league that played a season, just one you began to set up during your universe expansion and then deleted again.

Could you do an export of your league data, please? Go to the Database Info screen, select "Export data to CSV files". The files will be dumped into the import_export folder in your saved game...open leagues.csv in Excel (or equivalent), and take a look at the league_id column. Normally all leagues in your universe should be numbered sequentially from 100 upwards. Are any numbers missing in the sequence?

In the league_id column I have 100-120, however 110 is missing. Thinking back, I probably did create a league and then delete it before any games were played, so your diagnosis was probably right. I have no idea how to use a hex editor, so this Universe is pretty much lost, correct? Thanks for the responses, I really a appreciate it.

I added a link to this thread on TT 3641. Looks like Zeyes' editing is your only way out until a code fix can be provided, but I'm not sure if even that would fix existing saves rather than prevent the problem from popping up in the future.

This has been claimed fixed for the third patch, as yet unreleased. If you continue to see this problem after patching, please post as such in Tech Support along with the above TT number. Thanks.
