Game won't open at all after installing patch

So I installed the patch, and now the game won't start at all. I click the icon to start the game and after a few seconds my screen flashes real quick and then nothing happens.

I'm running it on the latest Mac OS. Pleeeeeease help!

There have been two successful solutions to this problem. One works for some, the other works for others.

1. Re-run the patch and point it directly to the OOTP application (not the folder.)

2. Delete OOTP and reinstall, run patch.

Had the same issue.... tried both methods and now I have NO OOTP app and it won't install! Any wisdom to impart? I just bought the app after missing the demo dearly and would like to enjoy the game.....

SORRY! Update: it was a permissions problem on my end.... mea culpa.
