Can't upload to sigames ftp

Mentioned in another thread, but didn't want it to get overlooked.

The ftp to send zipped .dat files won't allow an upload - critical transfer error.

Still not working. This evening it looked like it was going to work - at least the upload progress bar prevailed. But in the end, again, critical transfer error.

Thanks, Nutlaw. I've moved on with the league, but hoping it's a problem that the last patch can address. I'll post again when it's officially uploaded. Is it protocol to upload this type of problem to the game-crash directory, or should it go to game-saved? It is crashing, after all.

SI has changed some stuff in their FTP site. It's now "write only", I guess.

I just did a test myself, using the information in our sticky, and IE7, and it worked. Go figure.

What are you trying to use to FTP the file?

I usually use Filezilla, but I've tried IE6 as well and neither work. I'll try again tomorrow and the next day, if necessary, and see if anything's changed. Thanks for the reply and reporting, at least, your success.

Hmm, I tried FileZilla this morning and it worked fine.

Since the site is now "write only," you won't be able to see your file once it's placed on the site.

What's the name of the file you're trying to put out there?

endgame.rar was the one that appeared to have uploaded yesterday, but the response in the far right of the lower window indicated critical transfer error.

Yah, that's not there. Care to try it again when you have a chance? I get the feeling they were messing around with it until yesterday.

I'll try again tonight. This isn't an issue that will go away. Obviously, I'll run into it again at the end of the year. Besides, I might just want to 'update' my pics during the year. It'd be nice to be able to do so.

Thanks for keeping an eye out for me, battitsts. How will I know if it does successfully upload then, simply trust filezilla to tell me?
