BB's increase at high pitching ratings
At the moment this is anecdotal, I am doing some testing on this.
I set a pitcher to have ratings of 250 across the board M/C/S and in his first 159 IP he gave up 118BB which seemed very high for a pitcher with this rating. I dropped the ratings to 230 for M/C/S and in his next 56IP he gave up 1BB I'm going to test this on other players but it looks like when a pitcher is at max ability he can't keep the ball in the strikezone. His WHIP went from 2.08 in June, 2.18 in July, 1.94 in August with max ratings and then 0.74 in September after the 'downgrade' in skills.

OK. So I started a new season, turned off injuries and development.
I set Boston Hydras starting pitchers to have exactly the same non-base pitching ratings (endurance, hold runners of 250, fielding of 250, experience of 200 - HP,WP,BK = 1). All threw fastballs at 101+ with the same selection of pitches. Each of the starters was given a nickname (215,225,235,245,255) which showed what their C/M/S ratings were. Attached is a screenshot from the end of the season. ![]() Somewhere between 235 and 245 the pitchers seem to suffer a bit of a meltdown - ER goes up, BB goes up and K's come down.

I was able to reproduce your problem. I didn't see the profound exaggeration that you did - the worst of the pitchers I observed posted a 4.4 BB/9, but the same general trend was there, with a significant drop-off in performance (admittedly, we're talking about going from "God" to "Hercules with a cold" here) for anyone whose ratings were over 245. The actual cut-off point would seem to be somewhere between 240 and 245; however, given the fluctuation of ratings during a season, I wasn't able to isolate it any more precisely than the 5-point range.
Regardless, I've logged the issue as TT#3861. - Kai

This has been claimed fixed by the developers for the third patch. If you continue to see this problem after the patch is released, please post a new thread in the Tech Support forum with a link to this thread and the TT#3861.
