Help! game keeps freezing

What were you doing? I was on the manager home page and clicked on the tab at the bottom of the screen to edit pitching staff.
What happened? The game froze, then nothing happened for several minutes so clicked on the tab again and then I got the hourglass icon and nothing happened. I left the game alone for a long time because I hadn't saved after auto-playing almost a month so I knew I'd lose everything. Nothing changed though so I had to close the game down and lost all the unsaved data.
Reproducible? Yes. Every time I click on edit pitching staff or edit line-up icons at the bottom of the screen or even just the available options on the manager home page the game freezes and I can't do anything but reset it. I've tried leaving it alone for an hour but it still never works. I upgraded the version to the most recent and tried the disk cleanup, no change. I disabled face-gen and everything runs a little faster, but still freezes at the same point. I have 31Gig free so I don't think it's a disk space issue. I can check my mail, check reports on players, call-up people from the minors and do pretty much everything else, but I can't adjust my line-ups so I don't know what else to do.
Problem occurs with other leagues? only have the 1 league

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you try the same thing with a freshly created league and let us know if the same thing happens? I'm wondering also if you are using a roster set created by someone as well.
